Madam, - Wesley Boyd's excellent Irishman's Diary of November 22nd on the Helga/Muirchu omitted to mention another important event in which the ship participated.

On October 10th, 1918 the Helga picked up some of the survivors from the torpedoed RMS Leinster. The little ship therefore has a link with the greatest ever loss of life in the Irish Sea. - Yours, etc,
