Sir, – Would it be possible to confirm if the definition of “housing crisis relief” includes building buy-to-let corporate rental accommodation?
With yet another new mega- development proposed in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Council area, this time behind the Goat pub, how will these apartments help relieve the housing crisis? A recent build in Knockrabo (“Luxury new apartments raise the rental bar as they hit the market at Mount Anville”, Property, November 30th, 2020), has the rent for a one-bedroom apartment starting at €1,900. I look forward to my kids living with us for another 30 years. – Yours, etc,
