Sir, - I agree entirely with G. Harvey (October 18th) that Dublin's transport problems could be solved by having a network of carproof bus lanes. Unfortunately, this simple, cost-effective, disruption-free, visually unobtrusive, low maintenance and flexible idea lacks one vital ingredient: it is too cheap.
