Sir, - Tony Quinlan's letter (December 9th) asked Dr Goldsmith (DIT) to explain, through your columns, how the Dublin Institute of Technology differs from the regional technical colleges. To date there has been no response and I, therefore, assume that if the DIT is to be awarded university status, then Dr Goldsmith believes the RTCs should also be awarded university status. - Yours, etc..
