Sir, – It troubles me to see reference (Education Today, October 4th, and elsewhere in the media) to children with special educational needs as “special-needs children”. We should remember that children are children first, and if they happen to have special needs, they should be referred to as “children with special needs”. They have enough to cope with in life besides being labelled. – Yours, etc,
