Madam, – I am principal of a special school and I have just been informed that we are losing two of our six special needs assistants for the next school year. That is a reduction of one-third in a vital section of our staff.
Has there been a corresponding one-third reduction in the number of Ministerial cars and drivers? In the “oh yes, I turned up for work today allowance” given to TDs and Senators? In the “I live more than 25 miles from the Dáil so I need to be compensated for that too” allowance? In the “I can claim for that without showing anyone the receipts” allowances?
