Sir, - What a pleasure it is to be able to congratulate RTE.
The first programme in the series "Seven Ages" was an excellent example of Public Service Broadcasting at its best. The story of the founding years of the State told in a lucid, balanced and non-sensational manner acknowledging the role of democrats and the democratic institutions they successfully worked to establish.
Perhaps it should be compulsory viewing for the current affairs staff presently employed at the station. - Yours, etc.,
