Sir, - Mr Mark Doris (May 2 1st) is concerned that British Nuclear Fuels can cherry-pick quotations from the RPII's substantial output of scientific reports to suit its particular purposes. We cannot of course prevent them from doing that. We are sending Mr Doris a copy of the relevant report so that he can see the quotation which concerns him in its full context.

The underlying reality, however, is that what the RPII says in these reports is an unbiased factual statement of our scientific findings, the validity of which I presume Mr Doris does not challenge. - Yours, etc
