Madam, - Patrick Thomas Carroll (September 13th) enthuses about the possible bonus the IRFU may gain by selling the naming rights to Lansdowne Road and says that it will benefit all rugby in Ireland down to the "under-8s at Willow Park". I sincerely hope it doesn't.

I feel that any more advantages given to Willow Park/Blackrock would damage schools rugby severely. After a year in which fabulous Kilkenny beat Blackrock and the wonderful St Michael's won their first Leinster senior title, I would hope that any money allocated for under-age rugby would be used to promote the game in the less powerful schools and clubs. - Yours, etc,
