Madam, - I would urge all your readers to visit the transformed Abbey Theatre, which is now, in my opinion, the most comfortable auditorium in Dublin. Gone are the problems with sight lines, acoustics and seating which we have lived with for 40 years. Congratulations to director Fiach MacConghail and all concerned.
As the instigator of the campaign for the Abbey to move to the Carlton Cinema site and the recipient of approximately 4,000 signatures in favour of the same, I am now convinced the Abbey should stay where it is.
However, I still hope the Carlton is saved.
