Sir, - Has Question Time in Dail Eireann ceased to serve any useful function? Observe a typical scene: long-winded replies to superficial questions, followed by a desultory dialogue between the Minister and the few deputies reclining on the Opposition benches. Question Time should be a serious exercise in Ministerial accountability, not a tedious ritual.
