Sir, - The Old Head of Kinsale ranks with the Cliffs of Moher and the Lakes of Killarney as an area of natural beauty. Indeed, it was the vista from the Old Head over the adjoining sea, coast and headlands which inspired the developers to build the golf course here in the first place, and it is and the marketing tool they use to persuade golfers to visit the course.
No one has the right to deny this vista to anyone willing to walk the few miles to the lighthouse. To limit access to the privileged few and deny it to the greater populace would be a crime. The Old Head of Kinsale was not built by the developers; they just built the golf course.
