Madam, - Last Monday morning at precisely 8.58, I witnessed 32 private cars in the Quality Bus Corridor (QBC) between the Alsa Sports Complex and Collinstown Cross on the Old Airport Road, and not a garda in sight.
Ironically, the bus I was travelling on actually left the QBC and proceeded down the public roadway, which was virtually clear of traffic.
Exactly the same scene occurred on Tuesday morning but with only 21 private cars clogging the bus lane.
Surely the idea of these bus corridors is to provide the public with a speedy service to and from town and to "free up" city traffic? - Yours, etc,
