Sir, - One of your correspondents expressed concern about the proposed new version of Messiah (October 12th). O thou that tellest good tidings to the people of Ireland and of the world, say unto them that Messiah will be performed as usual in December by two of Dublin's leading choral societies.
The Culwick Choral Society (founded 1898) will sing the work in aid of the Arthritis Foundation, in St Patrick's Cathedral on December 1st and 2nd.
Our Lady's Choral Society (founded 1945) will also present Messiah on December 13th, 15th, 16th and 17th in the National Concert Hall. The opening night will support the Children's Hour. - Yours, etc.,
