Just add boiling water

Sir, – George Orwell wrote an essay in 1946 extolling the virtues of a good cup of tea, and 70 years later the principles for making the perfect cuppa remain unchanged . The most important ingredient is boiling water. Is it just me who constantly enquires “Is the water boiling or is it dispensed from a container of hot water?” Sadly, most of the time it is the latter. Can we get back to basics? – Yours, etc,
