Madam, - In answering another letter Denise Kelleher (March 19th) asks if the writer could give just one single piece of evidence for making the claim that "only a finite number of foreign nationals can be absorbed into any community without undermining its culture and stability".

Well, I can give three. The North American Indian, the Australian Aboriginal and the North African Berbers, three peoples who are always ignored when the benefits of migration are promoted. - Yours, etc.,
