Sir, – Mathew Carrigan (March 1st), in his dismissal of homeopathy as “ineffective” and its efficacy as “magic” goes on to ridicule wishful thinking .

While not doubting  his grasp of life sciences, why does he trivialise the enormous and known benefits of reassurance , hope, belief and positive thinking to the patient?

Transcending what we know of the physical world perhaps, but as the renowned R Buckminster Fuller famously noted, “The more we learn the more we realise how little we know”. – Yours, etc,
