Sir, - Have we not come to a sorry pass when gardai can disobey a legitimate directive of their superior officers to operate an updated computer programme, and this with the approval of their representative association?
It is doubtful if this could happen in any other country.
Anyone who has ever been involved with computers knows that to change from one programme to another is no big deal. Any boy or girl coming out of secondary school could readily attest to this. - Yours, etc.,
