Madam, - Please allow me to ask whether any of your readers might have a recording, in film or sound, of Ernie O'Malley, well-known republican activist and IRA leader in the War of Independence and the Civil War and author of On Another Man's Wound and The Singing Flame in later life. He died 50 years ago and we are making a television documentary on his life for TG4.
He did a number of radio broadcasts for BBC in 1947 and for RTÉ in 1953, but unfortunately none of these broadcasts survives in the sound archives of either station.
