Sir, – Having lived in the Dún Laoghaire area for most of my life, being used to paying for parking every time I wanted to shop, go to the bank, visit my doctor or have a bite to eat, I was pleasantly surprised when my wife and I visited Howth today.
They have free parking there, with no sign of parking meters anywhere. The village was buzzing!
We strolled around, did a little shopping, had lunch and returned to our car without having to even think if the paid parking had “run over time”.
Well done Howth!
