Cheesed off

Sir, – Today I shopped in Marks & Spencer’s – a rare event for me. I brought home UK-made hummus, UK-packed dried tomatoes, broccoli grown in Lincolnshire, carrots grown in the “County of Moray”, and a “specially reared” British chicken that was “specially selected from UK farms we know and trust”.

On the way out I saw an enormous ad announcing that the store now stocked Irish Cashel Blue cheese. Yippee! – Yours, etc,
