Madam, - I write in support of Brian Richardson's excellent proposal for rail-air integration (February 17th) - not just for Dublin and its airport, but also for the whole country.

To use and expand existing resources is eminently more sensible than to go down the route of some very expensive "green field" projects currently being touted. In addition, the synergy that would arise from Mr. Richardson's proposal would, in my view, prove immensely beneficial to the quality of life of very many of our citizens and represent excellent value to the Exchequer.

The airport link is but one aspect of an approach that could greatly enhance the usage of our rail network. - Yours,
