Sir, – I attended the fantastic Bruce Springsteen concerts at the RDS this week and both three hours plus shows were testament to Springsteen’s clean living, non-smoking lifestyle. However, at the Tuesday show cigarette smoke was prevalent. On Wednesday my wife and I were positioned towards the front, wedged in tight next to a man who chain-smoked throughout the show and ignored our obvious discomfort and annoyance. Time for Minister for Health James Reilly to extend the no-smoking legislation to include these open air events? I certainly think so. – Yours, etc,
