Sir, - I wish to congratulate The Irish Times on the series "An Unhealthy State", which was well researched and reflects reality from my perspective as a family doctor.
I regret that as a group, family doctors have not acted as advocates for the proportion of our patients who are increasingly facing inequality and inequity in our health services.
Unfortunately, as your Editorial of October 7th suggested, there is no resolve among policy-makers to overhaul this discriminatory healthcare system. - Yours, etc.,
