Madam, - Brendan Vaughan complains (November 24th) that local authorities are not committed to "fulfilling their traveller accommodation targets".
If you set impossible targets, this is hardly surprising. Requiring local authorities to provide accommodation for whoever turns up, from anywhere, without limit is ridiculous, and cannot possibly work. But that is the law at present.
It is time to change the law and set realistic targets. - Yours, etc.,
KEVIN NORTON, Ardilea, Goatstown, Dublin 14.
