A need to name and shame

Madam, – I nearly choked on my porridge on reading the first sentence of your lead story (Front page, February 26th) which stated: “The first inquiry into the Irish banking crisis will name institutions that may have been at fault, but will stop short of blaming individuals”.

We have an Oireachtas committee, German economics experts and a report by the end of May. We don’t need all of this to tell us “institutions that may have been at fault”.

What we do want are the names of the individuals at fault and those individuals held to account. – Yours, etc,
