Sir, – There is a magnificent bridge in Lisbon called “The 25th of April Bridge”, in honour of the 1974 revolution. What about naming the new one over the Liffey “The 9th of August Bridge”, to commemorate a golden and historic day for Irish sport? – Yours, etc,
