Sir, – It is disappointing to see those who should know better whipping up a storm about the EPA’s decision to issue a licence to Teagasc to do research on genetically modified potatoes. The purpose of research is to find the true answer, not the answer one desires or fears.
If these scribes do not want the true answer they should remember that others may want to ask the question. The quest to live better, healthier and longer lives is best served by seeking and finding the true answer. The EPA has made the correct decision. – Yours, etc,
