We must demand EU puts sanctions on Israel before Lebanon is destroyed

Asking Lebanese to leave their homes so Israeli military can bomb indiscriminately is wrong

Sir, – Regarding Wednesday’s notice to quit issued by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to the population of the whole of southern Lebanon, the Government needs to take action with the European Union to sanction Israel before they destroy Lebanon.

Asking the citizens of another country to move north tens of miles so the IDF can bomb indiscriminately is outrageous. The EU has to take a stand on this and fully sanction Israel as they did with Russia over Ukraine. There is no difference as I see it. – Yours, etc,
