Sir, – Years ago, I had a Honda 50. I remember driving to Roundwood, Co Wicklow, with a pillion passenger.

Several pedestrian passed us by as we inched up the steep hill at Enniskerry in first gear. It lasted years and cost 50p a week in petrol.

One of the finest beings I met in the world. – Yours, etc,
