Sir, – Fintan O’Toole’s observation that “we have been very good at making under-development tolerable for the middle classes” (Opinion & Analysis, July 16th) is hilariously illustrated in your Home & Design article with the headline “Ensuring your home has canine comforts doesn’t mean you have to give up on style” (July 16th).
The article includes ads for dog beds at €250, and a Le Creuset pet food bowl.
