Gardaí are investigating a stabbing incident in Dundalk, Co Louth early this morning.
A Garda spokesman said a youth was stabbed during a fight outside the Avenue Inn pub on Avenue Road in the town.
The incident happened when two rival groups of youths began fighting outside the pub at 1 a.m. The injured boy was stabbed in the back and was taken to Louth County Hospital.
His injuries are not life threatening, the spokesman added. No arrests have been made.
