A woman in her late 50s was killed when two cars collided on the Dublin Galway road at Aughrim near Ballinasloe on Sunday evening. Ms Mary Meagher from Maunsils Park, Galway, was a passenger in a car driven by her husband Eamonn. Mr Meagher was seriously injured in the accident. The driver of the other car was not seriously hurt.
