A 73-year-old woman has died in a car crash in Co Meath.
The woman died when her car was involved in a head-on collision with an articulated truck near Batterstown on the main Trim to Dublin road. The crash happened at about 8am.
The woman was the sole occupant of the car and her remains were taken to Blanchardstown Hospital.
Gardaí in Ashbourne have appealed for witnesses. So far this year 53 people have died on the State's roads.
