The USmilitary has said it had not yet found any weapons of massdestruction and believes there is a diminishing threat thatIraq might use them as US-led troops take over more territory.
"The places it's most likely to be found we haven't evengotten to them yet," Brigadier General Vincent Brooks told abriefing at Central Command in Qatar.
Brooks said the further the U.S.-led forces moved into Iraq, the less opportunity there was for Iraq to use any weapons ofmass destruction it might have.
"The closer we get... there are fewer and fewer options onwhat can be used to deliver weapons of mass destruction."
"As we continue to advance more areas are taken away. We arepleased that it hasn't been used to date but not satisfied thatthe threat has gone," Brooks said.
