A Co Wexford publican has been sentenced to eight years for rape and sexual assault on four women, including his sister.
Simon Murphy, from Ram’s Grange, Co Wexford, had pleaded guilty to 42 cases of rape and sexual assault.
The final two years of his sentence were suspended at Wexford Circuit Criminal Court when the judge acknowledged that Murphy had himself been abused as a child and had admitted the charges.
