All non-emergency admissions and non-essential visitors from the public have been banned at Wexford General Hospital after suspected cases of the winter vomiting virus.

At least 25 patients and 24 members of staff are suspected of having Small Round Structured Virus.

The hospital has imposed strict restrictions on admissions and visitors to control the spread of the virus.
