Wexford Creamery has ended its 18 year relationship with GAA in the county in a move that is likely to put funding for the hurling and football panels under severe pressure.

The partnership ended "amicably" according to a statement released by Wexford, in which "the enormous contribution by Wexford Creamery to the GAA fraternity in Co. Wexford" was acknowledged.

"The county board are now in the process of seeking new sponsors for their adult county teams," it continued.

"Everyone involved with GAA in Wexford would like to acknowledge the courtesy and generosity shown to them by the current Managing Director, Eamonn Murphy  the previous MD Seamus O'Beirne and all the staff  at their offices in Rocklands, Wexford."
