Construction on the Dun Laoghaire town centre improvement scheme begins on Monday and continues until Thursday, December 7th, closing George's Street Lower between Library Road and Convent Lane.

South King Street and Clarendon Row will be closed. Traffic from St Stephen's Green West will be diverted via York Street and Mercer Street Lower. Traffic approaching Clarendon Row from Mercer Street Upper will be diverted via Stephen Street Lower, Drury Street, Exchequer Street, Wicklow Street and Clarendon Street. Traffic on York Street will be reversed; on Mercer Street Upper, it will be two-way.

The city-bound hard shoulder of the Naas Road (N7) will be coned off. Roadworks on the N9 Moone-Timolin-Ballitore bypass will limit speeds to 30 m.p.h.

Westmeath: The N63 will be closed at Sheefin. Traffic on the Castlepollard-Mullingar route will be diverted via Multyfarnham and Ballinafid.

Wicklow:

The R115 from Sallygap crossroads to Glenmacnass Waterford (Military Road) will be closed on Monday to facilitate filming. The alternative route is from Sallygap crossroads via the R759 to its junction with the R755 and via the R755 to Laragh.

Kilkenny:

There will be delays on the N9 at Gowran and the N10 at Garryduff due to roadworks.

Cork:

Lavitt's Quay will be closed to eastbound traffic between Paul Street car park and St Patrick Street and will be reduced to a single lane westbound between St Patrick's Bridge and Christy Ring Bridge.

Galway

Two sets of temporary traffic lights are in place along the Galway-Limerick Road (N18), north and south of Clarinbridge.

Rail travel:

Train services on the line between Westport and Castlerea will be suspended until mid-December due to renovations.

Aer Rianta:

More than 160,000 passengers are expected to pass through Dublin Airport this weekend. Delays can be expected due to proposed industrial action.
