We’ve all heard the stories about displays of exceptional strength in an emergency, and there was another example of the mysterious phenomenon this week in New Zealand. The feat of strength by Mosh Tawera saw him lift a 1.5-tonne car to free his 18-year-old cousin, Josh Hepi, who had been trapped underneath it after a freak accident. Tawera’s heroism was widely praised in Tauranga, a city in the Bay of Plenty on New Zealand’s North Island, but like all good superheroes, he preferred modest self-effacement. “Nah, it’s just another day in Tauranga,” he said.
