The availability of skilled staff was a key factor in persuading NTL to locate its new customer management centre in Waterford, the company's managing director in Ireland said yesterday. Mr Ian Jeffers said NTL, which took over Cablelink last year, would work with Waterford Institute of Technology to ensure graduates with the right qualifications were available. More than 250 jobs are to be created at the centre. It will serve as NTL's national customer service centre.
