Waterford United this afternoon firmly denied that manager Paul Power has left the club.

Rumours were rife this morning that the former Kilkenny city boss had parted company with the eircom First Division side after a disagreement with the club’s directors over how players should be disciplined.

"There is an issue between Paul Power and the directors" a spokesperson for the club confirmed to ireland.com, "but Paul has not been sacked - he is still the manager. The matter is an internal one and will be sorted out accordingly."
