The burning body of a woman has been discovered by two people taking an evening stroll down a remote country lane in Essex, eastern England.
Police said they spotted a fire in bushes next to the road and when they tried to put the blaze out they made the gruesome discovery.
the fire brigade and police were called after being alerted at about 10.30 p.m last night.
Police said the road where the body was found was "fairly remote" with few residential houses on it.
They are appealing for any witnesses who might have been in the area and said the road in Castle Headingham has been closed for forensic work.
