Berti Vogts has named three teenagers among seven uncapped players in his first Scotland squad for the friendly against France on March 27th.

However there is no place for striker Duncan Ferguson, who confirmed his intention never to play for his country again in conversation with Vogts after Everton's Premiership game on Saturday.

But youngsters Gary Caldwell, on loan at Hibernian, Aberdeen defender Kevin McNaughton and Rangers midfielder Steven Hughes are all handed call-ups in a youthful-looking squad.

Also in the squad for the first time are Dundee United striker Steven Thompson, Wolves frontman Kenny Miller, Celtic defender Stephen Crainey, Dundee United goalkeeper Paul Gallacher and Hearts midfielder Scott Severin.
