For those who didn't see The Blind Boys of Alabama (above) the last time they played Dublin, next Thursday and Friday at Vicar Street are dates not to miss when this wonderful group make a return.

Here's another opportunity to testify to the power of gospel music sung with passion, religion and humour. While members have come and gone down through the years, Clarence Fountain and his team of singers achieved mainstream success in 1988 when they starred in the Obie award-winning Broadway musical, Gospel At Colonus. Since then, the Boys have been awarded a prestigious NEA Heritage Fellowship, all the while performing their jubilee gospel-style singing to stunned onlookers. You really have got to experience this lot. Praise the Lord, etc.
