A significant number of lives could be saved if public education in first aid were improved, an accident and emergency consultant has said. Dr Peter O'Connor of the Mater Hospital in Dublin was introducing a VHI video on emergency first aid.
The video will be sent to more than 4,000 primary and post-primary schools. VHI will donate £1 to medical charities for every video sold.
