Juan Sebastian Veron wants one more season at Manchester United, his adviser claimed today.

Veron has been linked with a £14.5 million move to Chelsea but the player's representative, Fernando Hidalgo, says his client wants another season at Old Trafford.

"I think the player wants one more year at United," he told The Guardian. "He wants to repay the club for the faith they have shown in investing in him, and he wants to prove to Sir Alex [Ferguson] that he is still a good player.

"He will talk to Ferguson because he wouldn't want to leave if the manager still sees a future for him at the club".

United will confirm the signing of United States international goalkeeper Tim Howard this afternoon.
