Vandals attack disabled children's bus

A group of disabled children escaped injury tonight after their bus was attacked by vandals in Jordnstown, Co Antrim.

A group of disabled children escaped injury tonight after their bus was attacked by vandals in Jordnstown, Co Antrim.

A number of pupils from the Rostulla School for children with physical and learning disabilities in Jordanstown, Co Antrim, were shocked when a window on the bus was shattered by a ball-bearing.

It is understood the projectile was fired from parkland near Sandyknowes in Glengormley.

Police described the attack as a "criminal act of vandalism which could have ended in injury or death".

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information about the attack to contact them.
