Gardaí are appealing for information after an urn containing the ashes of family members was stolen during a burglary at a house in Tallaght in south Dublin.
The incident, in which other items were also taken, took place at a house at Deerpark Place, Kiltipper, between 11pm last night and 4am today.
The urn, holding ashes of the householder's mother and father, is described as a black 6" square box with glass top and two dolphin emblems on one side.
A Garda statement said the crime has caused "considerable distress" to the family.
