Washington - US federal officials have overturned the re-election of Mr Ron Carey as president of the Teamsters' Union last December because of alleged "improper contributions" to his campaign, Sean Cronin reports. A new election will be held.

The decision came four days after Mr Carey led 185,000 Teamster strikers to victory over United Parcels Service (UPS) after a 15-day strike.
